Some people are surprised at how attached they become to such small creatures. But if you’ve handled different kinds of animals, you know that even the tiniest creatures have personalities and need the same kind of love and attention.
Many people who have choosen a career working with animals have known from a very young age that is what they have wanted to do, and others might have thought about it later after having a pet or spending time with animals and found out how much they enjoyed being around them.
You don’t need to have lots of qualifications to work with animals, unless you want to become a Veterinary Surgeon or a Veterinary Nurse, but you will need to have training and know a lot about the kind of animals you want to work with.
One way to be able to get into employment working with animals is to show you are serious and have taken time out to find out more about the animals that you would like to work with.
Our Small Animal Care Course consists of eight weekly modules. We will be looking at the dogs and puppies, rabbits, chinchillas, ducks, goats, guinea pigs and parrots. Every week we will cover the areas below on each animal.
